Meadows reshuffles to improve revenues
Table games performance is second worst in state

Shawn McCloud, director of analysis for Spectrum Gaming Group, an industry consultant, said The Meadows had the lowest percentage of so-called "banking" games, such as blackjack and roulette, of any casino in the state.

He said "banking" games, ones in which the player competes against the house, typically produce the most money for a casino. The chief "nonbanking" game, in which players compete against one another, is poker.

"I just think they're fine tuning their business model," he said.

Mr. McCloud said it's still too early to draw conclusions about The Meadows' table game performance, noting that it takes time to acclimate employees and customers.
