Pennsylvania table games revenue for first year shatters projections with $500 million

"Easily, we are looking at a $700 million to $800 million market," said Shawn McCloud, director of analysis for Spectrum Gaming Group, a casino consulting firm based in Linwood.

Atlantic City's 11 casino hotels grossed about $1 billion from their table games over the past 12 months. McCloud said Atlantic City's gaming halls have about 1,600 total table games, compared with 900 for their Pennsylvania competitors.

"I think there is room for growth," he said of Pennsylvania.

However, McCloud and a top Atlantic City gaming executive predicted that Pennsylvania - despite its robust market - will not overtake New Jersey any time soon, if ever, in the fight for table games supremacy.
